Health Literacy & Empowerment Meeting

“After a long pause, I’d like to reconvene the FCHIP Health Literacy workgroup – but first, an update.

David Luchini and I recently met with Tony Pena (WUHS), and Lois Ewart (Mobile Clinic) last week.  We discussed the Health Literacy survey that was administered by Tony and the results, which Charles Douglas from CHSU helped us interpret by providing definitions to the measurements.  Thank you Charles J.  Long story short, we asked Tony where we, the Health Literacy Workgroup, could help him make a difference.  He had six specific areas identified and Lois had one.  I am confident we can come together to support their work, and believe we can take what we learn from WUHS to other areas of SW Fresno.”
